Nessie

Privacy Policy

Last updated 16 September 2026

Nessie Rewards is operated by Nessie Solutions. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Nessie Rewards wallet at an event, why we collect it, and who it is shared with.

What we collect

  • Your email address. You enter it yourself to receive a one-time verification code. It is how we identify your wallet on a later visit or on a different device.
  • Your activity in the wallet. Which event you scanned, which sponsor offers you claimed, and which vouchers were redeemed, with the time of each.
  • Technical information needed to keep the service safe. The IP address and browser a verification request came from, used to limit abuse of the code system.

We do not ask for your name or any payment details, and the wallet has no advertising or analytics trackers in it.

Why we collect it

  • To send you the verification code that signs you in
  • To show you the offers for the event you scanned
  • To hold the vouchers you claim and let a merchant redeem them
  • To give the event organiser counts of claims and redemptions
  • To prevent fraud and abuse of the verification and claim system

Messages we send

When you enter your email address and continue, you are asking us to send you a one-time verification code by email. That is the only message this service sends. We do not send marketing or promotional email, and you are not subscribed to anything by using the wallet. Message frequency is one message per sign-in request.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Who we share it with

  • Our email delivery provider. Your email address is passed to the provider solely so the verification code can be delivered.
  • The event organiser and participating sponsors. They see claim and redemption activity for their own offers, so a merchant can confirm a voucher at the counter and an organiser can measure the event.
  • Where the law requires it. If we are legally obliged to disclose information, we will.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Verification codes are deleted shortly after they expire. Wallet and voucher records are kept while the event and its offers are live, and for a reasonable period afterwards so the organiser can reconcile redemptions. You can ask us to delete your wallet at any time.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to nathan@nessiesolutions.com, telling us the address you signed up with.

Children

Nessie Rewards is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
